RGS - Responsible Gambling Service

The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) has Registered Training Organisations (RTO) throughout Queensland licensed to deliver the OLGR RGS training program. This course is NOT a mandatory training requirement of OLGR (Queensland).

Provide Responsible Gambling Services is a unit of competency (SITHGAM006A) from the nationally endorsed Hospitality and Tourism Training Package SIT07.

An RTO that is registered with the appropriate scope can deliver RGS under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). Whilst the OLGR will not recognise Statement of Attainment from a RTO to meet the mandatory qualificiation under the gaming legilsation, an RTO will recognise the OLGR RGS program as fulfilling the competencies under the AQTF. OLGR only licenses RTOs to deliver RGS, and not individual trainers.
